“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where—” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“—so long as I get somewhere,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.”—
Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll
As this quotation clearly indicates, you dont have to lead or guide. You will end up somewhere regardless. As most companies are looking to differentiate themselves, generate more top and bottom line growth, then its understandable we need to do something different.
Over the last few years its been clear that competition does not limit itself to products and profit alone. Logistics, the medium by which we market and operate and even the type of customers has changed. AT-IPIC use two well know business models to help you in understanding the direction and speed of where you need to be.
- Business Model Canvas
- Strategic Mapping
Two transitional processes but looked at through a future oriented lens. This means not using workshops to trend but to futurize the answers.
Business model Canvas
Workshops empowered through the individual functional owners and taking place in a common setting helps provide insight into key strengths and weaknesses of each function and business unit. Through the integrated approach, silos are broken down and strategies developed that encompass all goals and actions needed for success.
Strategic Mapping
Strategic mapping needs to encompass all areas of model society. This required AT-IPIC to extended the shareholder view of mapping to include stakeholders. As shareholders are stakeholders there will be a further consolidation of this mapping in the near future.
Through these two approaches we scope out those ideas, actions and gaps and start to provide insight into where we need to be.
